The Full Picture Game Show

The Full Picture Game Show is a concept game show where travelers answer questions about a destination that they are about to visit. The goal of the game is to have fun preparing for a trip, connect travelers better to the destination that they are about to visit and share with a wider audience on YouTube lesser-known details of a given destination. We also welcome a local tour guide to be a local expert who reveals the answers to contestants.

The Full Picture Game Show takes place on a Zoom call.
There are 3-5 traveler contestants competing at the same time.
There are 10-15 questions that are based on images from the chosen destination.
Questions are multiple choice and written in a way that allows anyone to answer. You do not have to be an expert to play, just have a willingness to have fun playing a game show!
A local travel agent has been recorded telling the answers to many of the questions. So after contestants answer a designated "local expert" question, the answer is delivered by a local tour guide with great expertise.
The contestant with the highest score at the end of the game wins. The winner will receive a gift card/certificate to be used at a local destination on their upcoming trip.
The Full Picture Game Show takes about 60 minutes to play on Zoom.
The recording of the game will be edited to about a 20 minute show and released on YouTube as well as highlights shared on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

The Full Picture Game Show is conducted via a Zoom Call.

In order for the show to be a success, we ask all contestants to adhere to following technical requirements:

Fast WIFI connection. Avoid using a cell phone hot spot. The speed of your connection can interfere with your game performance. If you miss a question due to slow speeds or dropped connections we can't replay it.
Laptops/Desktops are preferred. You can use a phone if needed, BUT many of the questions will require you to use the chat feature to answer questions. You will need to see a photo on screen, read a question and then answer using chat which can all be difficult to do using your phone.
Functioning microphone and speakers. Test your microphone and speakers/headphones so that they are working. As you log onto the Zoom call you can conduct these tests.
Wear a solid color shirt that does not match your background. Patterned shirts can look fuzzy.
Be in a quiet place with minimal background noise. We need to hear you clearly as you play and it's best when everyone plays with mics on so we don't have to go through that awkward "you're on mute" dance.

Expect to have some fun!

The game is really about having fun, learning new things and meeting new people.

This game has been built as an evolution of the idea that "All places and people are interesting if you are curious enough!"

The game is called "The Full Picture" because the aim is to give contestants and viewers a fuller picture of the world we all share. Expect questions that are fun and light which touch on history, culture, food, geography, music and whatever else we can find to create entertaining questions about!

Consider this game to be a cross between "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego" and NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" with a research department heavily influenced by Atlas Obscura.

Participant Incentive

In 2025, each invited participant will be paid $30 US as an incentive to play. This will be paid at the conclusion of game play via the following platforms:

Venmo
CashApp
MoneyGram
If you are a contestant and not able to accept payment on these platforms then we can determine if there is another platform that works for each party involved.

Winning Prize

The winning prize for each game will depend on the local community and what prizes can be bought and transferred remotely. This means we strive to find prizes that highlight local businesses and culture but we are limited in offering prizes that can be bought and sent to you via email or downloadable codes. This means most prizes will consist of a gift card to a local restaurant since we want you to be able to redeem it easily and not something that will impact your plans for your upcoming trip. The value of the winning prize will not exceed $50 US and will be dependent on what is offered by local businesses.

The winning certificate will also most likely be related to a question in the game which is why it may not be revealed before the game starts.

Finally, the winner of the certificate will be determined during the live Zoom call and the certificate sent to the winner player via email immediately following the live game.
